Work within the feedback groups provided for the course, to partner with a peer. Working with that peer identify an area of weakness with regard to technology use aligned with the research-based technology integration framework you have identified (week1) AND the ISTE Standards for Educators and Students.   In collaboration with your peer, develop the peer’s SMART Goal to address the area of need. Suggestion: Focus on a goal that could be addressed in no more than 1 or 2 semesters. My peer Carissa teaches in a virtual school setting, and one challenge observed is limited student collaboration.   Select a technology integration framework that could be used by your organization/district to guide and support technology use practices based on the ISTE standards and the evaluation tools used by your district/organization.  TPACK (Mishra & Koehler), SAMR (Puentedura), and the Triple E Framework (Kolb) are good options.  If you would like to explore other frameworks you are welcome to; please establish that they are supported by best practice (educational) research.   DoDEA hasn’t picked one set way to use technology in schools, but I think the Triple E Framework would work really well for Pac West, because Dodea already supports goals by preparing students to be productive global citizens and 21st century learners. This Framework helps teachers use tech to keep students interested, which makes learning easier for them, and creates lessons that are pertinent to their interests.
